Mongolian Beef Recipe

Mongolian beef does not originate from Mongolia. 

However, it refers to a superior quality of meat. The main ingredient in Mongolian beef is pork, which is then flavored with beef to achieve a taste similar to real beef. If you want to learn how to create premium meat, continue reading!

Ingredients

Mongolian Beef 500g

5 cloves of garlic

A small handful of green onions

A small piece of ginger

1 egg

Light soy sauce 2 tbsp

cornstarch 1 tablespoon

sugar 1 tbsp

Seafood sauce 2 tbsp

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1/4 tbsp salt

2 tbsp peanut oil

beer 2 tbsp

1. Processing beef and other main ingredients


Firstly, clean and slice the beef and place it in a bowl for later. Afterward, clean the shallots and slice them into sections. Next, add cornstarch and a beaten egg to the bowl of beef slices and mix them thoroughly.

2. Take off the pot


Heat up some peanut oil in a pan and add the sliced beef. Stir continuously with chopsticks to prevent it from sticking. Fry until the beef turns golden brown before removing it from the oil.

3. Sauce


Crush the garlic after washing it, and chop the ginger into powder after washing it. In a small bowl, mix together light soy sauce, salt, seafood sauce, beer, sugar, and rice vinegar in the mentioned order. Stir the mixture thoroughly until well combined.

4. cook again


Add a small amount of oil to the pan and heat it up. Once heated, add minced garlic and ginger to the pan. Then, add the beef to the pan and stir-fry.

5. Seasoning


After stirring a few times, pour in the juice just adjusted and continue to stir-fry.

6. Cook out


Stir-fry the ingredients on high heat for a few minutes. Add the cleaned scallions to the pan and fry for a little bit longer before removing it from heat.
